What are the Songs of Glimmerwick skills?
Garden, trade, and special abilities including speaking to frogs. They sit on the skill trinket after you level. There is no fighter class list.
Songs of Glimmerwick skills live on a skill trinket you open after you earn experience. Official directions are garden, trade, and special abilities such as speaking to frogs. This is not a warrior, mage, or rogue class list, and there is no weapon tree. Steam’s Arch Witch achievement is “unlock every ability in the skill trinket,” which confirms the menu exists and that clearing it is an endgame task. Verified October 3, 2026. Steam.
| Fact | Detail |
|---|---|
| Platform | Windows PC (Steam) |
| Menu | Skill trinket (also called a skill tree / Grimoire in play) |
| Confirmed lanes | Garden · trade · speak to frogs |
| Not in the game | Fighter, mage, rogue, hunter, job-change weapons |
| XP | Quests, bathhouse once per day, music and potion mastery, special curiosities |
| Completion | Arch Witch — every trinket ability. Global unlock about 0.1% at launch week |
| Songs vs skills | Musical Witch is mastering every spell song. That is the flute, not this menu |
| Still TBA | Point costs, respec, trade bonus numbers, full perk list |
The trinket stays shut until you level. In the demo, a student with one star in each opening spell still could not advance the tree. The first potion class is a common place the first point appears, because a clean brew grants mastery experience.
| XP source | How often | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Quests | Each hand-authored quest | No template “kill 10” boards |
| Bathhouse | Once per day | The building can be locked when you first walk past it |
| Music mastery | When you clear a higher score threshold | Two stars beat a minimum pass |
| Potion mastery | Higher brew scores | Legendary scores also feed A Legendary Brew |
| Curiosities | Specific finds in the world | Not every pickup |
One month-long run spent its first point on Seed Gatherer after the potion lab. That is a legal garden pick, not the required first node. Another run aimed at a rain-radius perk before anything else. Read the tooltip on your trinket. If the label does not match a name on this page, the tooltip wins.
The license you get while exploring town already previews perks such as improved potion scores, before the full tree opens. Treat those as a preview of the same menu, not a second currency.
Once a point is actually spendable, the garden choice is the one that changes the rest of the day.
Island weather is local. Waiting on natural rain leaves beds dry. Every flute cast that tills, breaks a rock, or calls a cloud spends mana, and there is no separate stamina bar for that work. A garden perk that widens the cloud is a mana save, not a cosmetic.

| Perk players quote | Reported effect | When it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Rain Dancer | Magical rain cloud radius +50% | One cloud instead of two or three melodies |
| Seed Gatherer | First pick on one potion-lab level-up | Useful if you are still short on seeds |
| Tool enchant songs | Hoe, axe, and similar tools work while you walk away | Not a trinket node — a spell. Names stay on the sheet |
Launch tips put Rain Dancer at the top of the Grimoire for garden players: a single broad cloud covers the plot, so you stop paying mana to replay the rain melody. Confirm the “+50%” line on the node before you buy it. If your menu uses another name for the same radius bonus, buy that node.
From the first day, some melodies enchant a tool so it keeps working. Chopping every tree by hand and weeding every tile is the slow version of a system built so you can start the tool and go talk to someone. Song titles for woodcutting and tilling are not printed here — pin whatever the spellbook already lists, then walk away.
Beds themselves — select, then confirm the till — are on the gardening page.

“Speak to frogs” is an official skill direction, not a joke line. Play calls the node Tongue of Frog. Until you buy it, frog dialogue and the quests behind it do not appear.

Players who unlocked the perk report secret paths, hidden magic interactions, and rare ingredient spots, plus side quests that never show in the journal without the conversation. If a lake objective looks empty, this node is the first thing to check before you assume the quest is bugged.
A trading ability is confirmed. Price bonuses, unlock level, and shop lists are not. Do not copy a “+20% sell” figure onto the trinket. Read the node. The same rule covers any perk this page does not quote.
Class practice is still the fastest mastery XP. The booth is on the classes page.
Spend the point you will press today. A wider cloud, a frog conversation you are blocked on, or Seed Gatherer while you are still buying seeds. Leave the rest until the tooltip matches a job you have.

| Situation | Spend | Skip for now |
|---|---|---|
| Beds take three rain songs | Rain-radius perk | A node you cannot name a use for |
| Quest says talk to the frogs | Frog speech | A second garden luxury |
| You are out of seeds | Seed Gatherer, if that is the label | Trade, until the bonus is printed |
| Potion scores are barely passing | A potion-score node if the license lists one | Anything that does not raise the brew |
| You want Arch Witch someday | Buy nodes you understand, in any order | There is no confirmed respec — do not randomize |

No. It is the rain-radius perk launch play recommends for mana. If your node name differs, follow the tooltip that widens the cloud.
Not confirmed. Spend as if the point stays until a later patch says otherwise.
Once per day, and only after the bathhouse lets you in. Walking past a locked door does not grant the point.
“Speak to frogs” is the official direction. Tongue of Frog is the label players report on the node. The trinket text is the source.
